NESTOR creates authentic, terroir-driven wines in which origin remains clearly recognizable. Thomas Stadler works with each vintage rather than correcting it, producing precise and balanced wines that express the character of Halbturn without unnecessary intervention.

Terroir

The vineyards lie around Halbturn near Lake Neusiedl, where sandy, loamy, and calcareous soils meet a distinctive Pannonian climate. Hot, dry summers, cold winters, old vines, and the lake’s moderating influence give the wines ripe fruit, freshness, structure, and a subtle mineral character.

NESTOR is a family-rooted Austrian wine producer based in Halbturn in the Neusiedlersee region of Burgenland. The Stadler family has cultivated vineyards there for more than four decades, and since 2019 Thomas Stadler and Günther Neukamp have developed NESTOR as a modern, internationally focused brand centred on expressive wines with a clear sense of origin.
