Winemaker Vision

Pepe Mendoza’s vision is to create honest Mediterranean wines that express Alicante through its native grape varieties, traditional farming, and minimal intervention. Sustainability, respect for the land, and the recovery of local winemaking heritage are central to every wine.

Terroir

Casa Agrícola works primarily with estate vineyards in Alicante, including Giró and Moscatel Romano planted in a warm Mediterranean climate. The vineyards’ limestone-rich soils, abundant sunshine, coastal influence, and dry conditions produce expressive wines with freshness, aromatic intensity, and distinctly Mediterranean character.

About the Winery

Founded in 2016, Casa Agrícola is the personal project of winemaker Pepe Mendoza and his family. Based around a historic cellar built in 1900 on an old Riu-Rau of Arab origin, the winery focuses on organic viticulture, indigenous varieties, and traditional techniques to preserve the authentic wine culture of Alicante.
