For over a century, Fiuza has been dedicated to crafting authentic wines that express the character of Portugal's Tejo region. By combining indigenous Portuguese grape varieties with carefully selected international varieties, the winery creates elegant, fruit-driven wines that honor tradition while embracing innovation.

Terroir

Fiuza's vineyards are located in the heart of the Tejo wine region, around Almeirim and Romeira. Clay, limestone, and sandy soils, together with the warm climate and the moderating influence of the Tagus River, provide ideal conditions for both Portuguese varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Arinto, Fernão Pires, and Alvarinho, as well as international grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, Fiuza is a family-owned winery with more than 100 years of winemaking heritage. Managed today by the third generation of the Mascarenhas Fiuza family, the estate became a pioneer in introducing French grape varieties to Portugal through its partnership with renowned Australian winemaker Peter Bright in 1986. Today, Fiuza is internationally recognized for producing award-winning wines that combine Portuguese identity with contemporary winemaking, exporting its diverse portfolio to wine lovers around the world.
