Winemaker Vision

Founded on the belief that the best wine begins in the best vineyard, Bodegas Enrique Mendoza crafts wines that faithfully express Alicante's Mediterranean landscape. Through sustainable viticulture, minimal intervention, and meticulous vineyard management, every bottle reflects purity, balance, and a true sense of place.

Terroir

The winery is located near Logroño, between the Ebro River and the Sierra de Cantabria, surrounded by more than 70 hectares of estate vineyards. Poor soils, varying elevations, and an Atlantic-influenced climate create ideal conditions for Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, and other native varieties, producing wines with freshness, structure, and exceptional depth.

About the Winery

Founded in 1989, Bodegas Enrique Mendoza grew from founder Enrique Mendoza's passion for wine, which began in the late 1970s with a small family vineyard. Today, the family-owned winery is recognized as one of the pioneers behind the international reputation of D.O. Alicante, combining traditional Mediterranean winemaking with modern innovation and sustainable vineyard practices. Now led by the second generation, José and Julián Mendoza, the winery continues to produce elegant, terroir-driven wines that showcase the character and authenticity of Alicante.
