Guerra, who initially produced this Vermouth from 1879 until the 1960s, has now resurrected and relaunched this classic style from the century-old recipe.
For our vermouth we use wines we produce with our indigenous grape Godello of our vineyards. Using 2 different techniques, maceration and hydro-alcoholic solutions (result of distilling), we add to the wines selected for our vermouth more than 40 extracts of herbs, roots, flowers, spices and fruit. Vermouth without any oak ageing, the bouquet is defined by the months of maceration in stainless steel tanks. For our “dry” vermouth we modified the
original recipe to reduce the residual sugar content.
Clear water-white colour with metallic tinges. Beautifully bright and clean. Elegant bouquet with hints of ripe and spiced drupes (stone fruit) coming through. Balsamic and herbal notes with fennel, nutmeg, coffee, cinnamon and citrus fruit. Fresh and round with a lively mouthfeel. Medium body and well-balanced with a good backbone. Perfect harmony between freshness and fine bitter notes. Lingering and dry finish with clean and elegant aromas.
Perfect for sipping or mixing in a cocktail.
