Remix is a blend of 55% Carigan, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault and 5% Garnacha, all “Mediterranean” grapes that have adapted perfectly to the weather of the Maule Valley and Itata Valley, in Chile. The grapes are hand-picked in small batches starting with Syrah in late March, to the Cinsault grape in mid-April.
The grape undergo cold maceration (10°C) for 72 hours, then is fermented in concrete tanks for 24 days. After fermentation the wine is blended and was aged for 12-months in 2,500 liter casks or “fudres” looking for elegance and complexity but living at the front the terroir and the fruit.
Deep and brilliant ruby colour with aromas of blueberries and blackberries mixed with violet notes. On the palate, it presents vibrant red fruits with juicy firm tannins and a long finish. Has ageing potential of 5-years or more.
Perfect for lean meats, such as turkey, as well as grilled vegetables, pasta dishes and soft cheeses.
