Roda wines have their own style. The predominant aromas come from the vineyard: red or black fruit always present, oak is subtle and spice and mineral notes add complexity.
The 2012 vintage is a blend of 89% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano and 2% Garnacha. The grapes were fermented in French oak vats, followed by a malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged for 14 months in barrel and 30 months in bottle before leaving the winery.
Ruby colour with deep intensity. The nose is very expressive with red and black fruit, oak and fine spice notes. The full palate continues with delicious fruit flavours, wrapped around a kiss of oak and spice. The fine tannins round out the mouthfeel. Mineral notes linger as a reflection of the soil from which the grapes were grown.
