Vermouth di Torino is part of the history of Piedmont. It saw the royal Savoy court as the first promoter of a product which generated a flourishing industry; one which led Piedmont to become the Kingdom of Vermouth.
Dopo Teatro has a tradition over a century old as theater goers would congregate at the nearby cafes drink this vermouth amaro chilled and garnished with lemon zest while they recounted and contemplated the evening’s affairs.
Based on the original recipe of Guilio Cocchi, this vermouth Amaro is a blend of wormwood, rhubarb, cassia bark, chiretta and a double infusiono of cinchona. The addition of Barolo to the base wine gives delicate red nuances and a further soft and complex note. This works well at all times – as an aperitif, a digestif and in cocktails.
