The grapes were hand-harvested and immediately crushed to preserve the freshness and fruit character. The grapes were cold macerated and then fermented. The wine was then aged in French and American oak for added depth and structure.
A triumph for the varietal and a great deal at this price. Aromas of wild berries, raspberries and cherries, melded with vanilla and chocolate notes contributed by oak. Tannins are firm and structured, yet sweet and pleasant.
