All About Dominio Basconcillos

Dominio Basconcillos was born in 2000 out of José María Basconcillos’ passion for the world of wine; He has passed that enthusiasm down to his daughters María Jose and Carmen.

From the beginning, the goal of the family has been to develop and offer some of Ribera del Duero’s  best wines.  Over the past two decades, they have worked every day maintain their principles, and make sure they can take pride in their wines.

The vineyards are located at the highest point of the Ribera del Duero region, 1,000 metres above sea level on a sunny slope with perfect exposure.

The excellent geographical conditions allow Basconcillos to take care of their vineyards without external agents, relying solely on the natural elements of the environment to to work the field under the criteria of organic viticulture and biodynamics.

Producing wines of high expression is achieved with natural cultivation methods and manual collection of grapes.

After years of development and expansion, the winery has adopted the best of modern technology employing the most advanced equipment, while still maintaining most traditional techniques to make the best possible wines.
