All About Sebastiana

Sebastiana cachaças are recognized with remarkable quality and refinement in the best distillery competitions in the world. In July of this year, Sebastiana Carvalho received a silver medal at the International Spirits Challenge in London, the most respected and influential competition among distillate producers seeking international recognition, while Sebastiana Castanheira received a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in March of this year.

Legend has it …

In the 1960s, Fazenda Santa Rufina, located in Ibaté, a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, produced a cachaça so good that one of its great admirers compared it to the legs of a beautiful girl who worked in the sugar mill named Sebastiana.

For this reason, initially, the cachaça “damned good” was baptized by the family Barros de Perna de Moça. Much time has passed, and in order to rescue more than 60 years of tradition, the second generation of producers of the Still Santa Rufina, launched its super premium cachaça with the name of Sebastiana, also in honor of the girl with beautiful legs.
