All About Oak Ridge

LODI’S SUCCESS STORY

“For five generations, my family has been growing grapes and making wine in the area of Lodi, California. We make wines that we like to drink, whether it’s for a big family gathering or a quiet night at home, and we’re delighted to be able to share them with you.” – Rudy Maggio

Oak Ridge Winery is the oldest operating winery in Lodi, California, built in 1934. It is owned by the Maggio & Reynolds families, and produces estate wines under several separate wine labels, including Silk Oak.

The winery itself was once a wine-making cooperative, which the Maggio and Reynolds families purchased in 2002. They had a vision that went well beyond dusting off a piece of local history. They renamed it Oak Ridge Winery and began by modernizing the facilities and transforming it into a state-of-the-art winery.

The winery and vineyards are situated between the Sierra Nevada foothills and the San Francisco Bay. The area’s uniquely Mediterranean climate, with warm days and coastal evening breezes, is ideal for the cultivation of world-class wines that showcase the ultimate expression of the terroir.
