Cantine Riondo is one of those wine companies that does just about everyting . . . and does it really, really well. They're hard to find, but when we do, our customers are bound to see more and more of their wines. Case in point, Riondo makes the #2 selling Prosecco in the United States. Their Ca'Barone Cabernet; rated among the very best red blends from Veneto this year. And their Gran Bosco Rosso . . . well, you're just going to have to try it to believe how good it is.

Sitting to the right of flowery sparkling Prosecco and brooding dark Cabernet is this bright, fruit-forward Chard from Veneto. Amazing what one region can produce in terms of flavours. This wine amazed us at Vinitaly 2011 with its unoaked bare naked rendition of the world's top selling white. Peaches, stone fruit, and a bright clean finish should make this a fixture on your local wine list.
