We like to think of Vega Sindoa as the old vines segment of Bodega Nekeas' wines. In fact, El Chaparal, one of our favorites comes from vines that are at least 80 years old and in some cases over 100. While that maturity may lead one to expect a jammy bruiser of a wine, Vega Sindoa's wines show a remarkable level of balance without sacrificing the depth and power old vines can create. That is thanks to winemaker Concha Vecino. Under her deft hand, Vega Sindoa produces a range of wines that both exemplifies its varietals and amazes us with taste profiles not seen elsewhere.
