Tabor Winery Lower Galilee, Israel
Launched in 1997, the Tabor Winery is the namesake of Kfar Tabor, a century-old agricultural settlement in the heart of Israel’s Galilee region. It’s a distinct area from a geological perspective, as various shifts and erosion over thousands of years have produced a unique blend of four different soil types: basalt, limestone, clay and terra rosa, each having its own impact on the colour, aroma and flavour of the grapes that emerge from the ground. The area has been providing wine grapes since ancient times, and the planting and selling of grapes was a primary activity for the Kfar Tabor settlement. The vineyards at Tabor cover 49 acres of land with the vines optimally exposed to the sun. The flavourful grapes are processed under the supervision of Russian immigrant Arie Nesher, a recognized expert with years of experience in Israeli wine-making. Tabor wines are certified kosher under OK Kosher Certification and are kosher for Passover.
