We started Azureau with a simple mission: Inspire Loyalty. That meant everything we did had to live up a standard that would keep people coming back for more. Almost five years later, the mission remains our guiding light.   • Defining Wine Moment: Tasting wine 100 meters over Lake Okanagan in BC on a patio discussing the virtues of sun, elevation, and oak.
  • Where You Will Find On Sunday: Hockey with my seven year old, gymnastics with my five year old, or wrestling with my twin three year olds . . . then the office.
  • Big Hairy Audacious Goal: Guelph Olympic Triathalon in June 2012 and NY Marathon in October 2012

  • Defining Wine Moment: Discovering Cotes du Rhone in Montreal in my early 20s. It immediately became my favourite wine and started my exploration of other regions and grapes. I finally visited the Rhone Valley last year (see my pic) and it was excellent.
  • Where You Will Find On Sunday: I love cycling and frequently go more than 10km, either visiting different neighbourhoods, the waterfront or trails in the Don Valley. I also regularly visit Niagara to check out the wineries.
  • Big Hairy Audacious Goal: Visit another wine region in Europe – ideally Burgundy, the home of pinot noir, but Tuscany or Veneto would be good too.
